Renee Rose, M.A. – Principal
Renee has a strong passion and love for people. She carries with her the joy of the Lord and loves to encourage others in their pursuit for God. She is passionate about children and youth and believes that people of all ages and backgrounds can experience the transformational power of God in their lives. Renee is currently serving as an associate pastor, Director of Children’s ministry at Kingdom Covenant Church in Lake Forest, California.
In 1995, Renee moved from law enforcement to a career in education. She worked for Capistrano Unified School District as a teacher, BTSA/Induction leader, and Staff Development presenter. In 2009, the Lord called Renee and her husband George to start a K-8th-grade Christian school Kingdom Life Academy. The mission of the school is to partner with families to academically educate the whole child in a God-centered, Holy Spirit led environment where students are equipped, prepared, and activated to advance the Kingdom of God. They have a passion to see the family unit strengthened through the power of the Holy Spirit. Together they highly value children and believe that God is calling children to make an impact to advance God’s Kingdom now as young people.
Her passion and desire is for all people of all ages to truly know and experience the joy of the Lord and His transformational power in their lives. She is a frequent speaker at women’s meetings, retreats, and seminars
Alynn Kluczynski – Teacher
Alynn Kluczynski is a curriculum specialist and teacher at Kingdom Life Academy. With over 15 years teaching experience, she is always available to help in any way possible.
She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Adolescent studies and her California Teaching Credential from Cal State Fullerton. For three years prior to full-time teaching, she was an independent aid for a child that had Autism, using the Lovas methodology. She also worked as a preschool aid for two years at Newport Coast Preschool. Over the past 5 years, Alynn has taught multiple subjects in every grade level. Alynn brings creativity and compassion to the classroom using music and the arts.
She currently serves in children’s ministry and has a leading role in the hospitality team at her church. She continues to lead ministries that impact new mothers and families, serving them and making meals during transition times in their lives. During her free time, she enjoys sewing and ministering at her church.
Melissa Cortez, M.A. – Teacher
Melissa Cortez has been a teacher at Kingdom Life Academy since 2011. Melissa graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Business. She earned her Multiple Subject Credential and MA in Educational Leadership at Vanguard University. Melissa also just completed the University of San Diego Clear Credential program where she acquired new teaching strategies through observation and field experience. Content accessibility and purposeful curriculum design is at the heart of her teaching.
Melissa is bilingual in Spanish and currently teaches the K – 8th-grade Spanish language enrichment classes. She attends the California Association for Bilingual Education conferences and Technology in Education workshops.
Melissa also serves on the children’s ministry at her church. She is passionate about God and pursues Him whole-heartedly. Melissa is passionate about teaching children of all ages in a Christ-centered environment. Her love of children and education has inspired her to be an educator and a life-long learner.
Linette McCosh, M.A. – Teacher
Linette McCosh is the Science, Math, and Social Studies Jr. High teacher at Kingdom Life Academy. She has also taught grades 2nd – 6th, as well as Art and Drama extracurricular classes during her past 5 years at Kingdom Life Academy.
Prior to KLA, Linette taught Jr. High Science and Computer Skills, sold text books for Houghton Mifflin Publishers, and trained teachers on curriculum design and implementation. Linette received her MA in Education and Multiple Clear Teaching Credential from Pepperdine University in 2002, her BS in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Fullerton in 2000, and her AA from Irvine Valley College in 1992. She has spent many years working with children ages 2-18 professionally and in church settings.
Linette’s personal love of learning has inspired her goal of making education interesting, and accessible to all kids encouraging them to tap into the natural scientist inside to discover the wonderful world God has created. In her free time, Linette enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, and daughter, Brooke. She loves the outdoors, reading books, and experiencing life in fun ways with her friends and family. She always looks forward to time spent with God, the author, and perfector of her life.
Heather Wallace, M.A. – Admissions Director
Heather Wallace is the Admissions Counselor at Kingdom Life Academy. She loves the opportunity to come alongside families in the important decision of what educational environment is the best for their children. She also teaches art, facilitates fundraisers, coordinates school communication, and assists with marketing.
Heather received her Masters Degree in Communications from California State University Fullerton. Her 8 years working as a Speech and Language Pathologist, gave her the opportunity to serve children of all ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, and ability levels. Heather has experience in the assessment and treatment of communication disorders from toddler to adult. Heather is passionate about helping children overcome difficulties and seeing themselves as Christ sees them. She also served as a leadership team member with Orange County Dept of Education ACCESS program. Before working as a Speech Therapist, Heather worked as a Special Events Logistics Specialist with the Disneyland Resort and helped coordinate the Grand Opening events for Disney’s California Adventure.
Heather has a heart for encouraging others to see how much God loves them. She has had the opportunity to travel to Brazil, Jamaica, and Mexico to help build church buildings and minister to the local community. Heather has also served as a youth pastor at Children of the Shepherd Church that ministers to a primarily homeless population in downtown Hollywood. Heather is trained for critical incident and disaster emergency response through ICISF (International Incident Stress Foundation) and the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) with the city of Tustin. Art has always been a passion of hers and she has received formal training in oil painting, drawing and sketching, pottery, and charcoal drawing through Mt San Antonio College and CSUF.
Heather’s favorite thing to do is to spend time with her husband, John and 2 daughters. She is thankful to God for each new day and the more chances to “be joyful always, pray continually and give thanks in all circumstances.” (I Thess 5:16-18)
